It came about in vent that Gus, a new member of INH, our CoD2 team in TWL for now, uses fun peripherals, and I became jealous, because mine aren't fun.

His are these (mouse too, for that 2nd one):
http://www.amazon.com/Razer-eXactMat-eX ... B00084KYFY
http://www.razerzone.com/index.php?main ... ducts_id=3

And mine are these:

http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouse ... px?pid=009  (Like this but older).
and
http://www.allsop.com/mouse-pads/pc-gam ... mouse-pad/

Well, with 1 sensitivity, this size pad is still inadequate. And it's not always smooth, though in fairness, I don't know if that's because of the pad/mouse or my computer. I'd like to gather other opinions on good mice and pads and such. So, please weigh in!

Dont feel bad if that kid has a better mouse/pad. I bet that kid is a decent player but not -/dbi/- material with that fancy mouse, otherwise he would of been in -/dbi/- long time ago.

Logitechs MX500, and the MX518 have proven to be real winners, durability wise unless you slam them hard on your desk ask Isk and Azi about it lol. Any generic mouse pad is fine the one he's got would make you wanna ditch it fast cause its too smooth it almost makes the mouse glide on its own which is good for games like Unreal tournament, Quake.

The thing with those fancy mouse is that they have 2000+dpi, and other **** that you dont really need, its overkill imo, while a standard one would have 400-800dpi. Dpi comes in handy if you are working with CAD which i doubt you do, so stick with something more practical. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6826104178 if you search around you can find it even cheaper like $22 plus S/H.

hahaha golby you know better than that.

All that is just fancy looking stuff, don't worry about it. It's all about the WRIST!!   ;)

As for me, i got a mousepad so small that my mouse can barely move 3 inches in any way before sliding off the mousepad.

Haha, thanks guys. I'm not worried about his ability. But it sounds like his smoothness is much better than mine. My pad looks big, but I still fall off the pad with 1 sensitivity. And there is often that disconnect between my mouse and pad, where sometimes my movements don't track. And I don't know anything about the dpi with mice. You're saying generic mice typically have 4-800 dpi? 'cause mine never specified, and I'm clueless as to its application. I would just love the freedom to move where I want, and have the results apply to the monitor 100% of the time. That would be ideal.

Dpi = Dots per square inch. http://www.esreality.com/?a=post&id=1265679 This should come in handy if your seeking to get your next deadly weapon. And here are some reviews on those fancy mouse pads. http://www.tweaknews.net/reviews/steelss/

I'm getting the Archetype one.  I've used one before and they're very nice, very smooth

And the MX518 kicks major ass

My stupid mouse have been acting up as of late. I would freeze for 1-2 sec every 20-30 sec, and on top of that, sometimes the rifle start shootting by itself, like wtf!.

I've noticed that most of the time it would freeze when i get random red bar spikes in the lagometer. So i'm thinking my pc got some kind of virus or trojan that is **** up with my mouse someway.  :(

I've had my 518 for awhile and it started to lag in game, I just uninstalled the software that comes with it and then everything worked fine.   Maybe you should try doing that

Those of you with the Mx518, at what dpi setting do you have set to? If at 1200 or 1600 did you notice the difference if any?

Yeah we back up each other everywhere even in those good old twl rifle rants lol. Most memorable one was Isk replying to a hater "Now go home and get your **** shinebox".
