I tried to to join the new rifles only server and it says punkbuster has banned me. I know that Sput_The_Nick got the same message. Is there any reason why this is happening?

oh sorry about that man... small problem I forgot to fix with PB ...
All I have to do is put pb on lan since the CD-Key you use has been permanently banned from UO via PB. This is the case with many CD-Keys that have been passed around like Wicket in an English Pub (he's a male-whore).
muhahahahahaha
aight.. this is giving me problems and I really don't have time to fix it with an hour until my final...
I'll fix it later...

IT'S FIXED!!!! - (well I'll know for sure when someone connects that couldn't before)
yeah the problem is that PB is connecting to the Global PB server and receiving a global ban list of GUID's that are generated from CD-Keys that are known to be passed around in warez and cracked versions of games
there are two ways to fix it:
1. All of the people using the CD-Key's that are banned generate a new CD-Key with the help of a Key Generator (it's hard to find a keygen for uo..and to get people to do this... so this is pointless
2. Set the PB server running on your UO server to only run on lan. The cvar for this is PB_SV_LAN. It should be set to 1. The problem is getting it set to one. There are some wierd things that you have to do in order to get this to work. What happens is that you set it to lan and that way it doesn't update from the master ban list of GUID's allowing people to play.
Now #2 is obviously the way to go. I just edited this post cus I figured out that you can easily change the damn thing just by typing in "PB_SV_LAN 1".... I was stupid and kept typing in "set PB_SV_LAN 1" when the set command does nothing at all. Ah well... it works now

Yeh, I've been seeing a lot of those "duplicate Cd Key cases"
Awsum you can wait till it's solved or just get a new cd key from a key generator.

yes thats what we're getting to lem. The lan thing doesnt seem to stop it. Maybe theres a cvar so it doesnt check cdkeys? though guids could be troublesome. Why not put your old dbi server's pb config on the new one? should fix it then.

i think i know how to do it lem. In your cfg file place this:
pb_sv_guidrelax 7
that makes it so it doesnt kick for duplicate cdkeys. Hopefully it works, good luck!
