If you're getting a wireless gaming mouse, don't settle for anything less than a Logitec MX700.  It's probably gotten cheaper since I got mine and I'm still happy with paying the $80.  I've never had any problems with it, except sometimes it'll have issues with the charger.. I've never had it die on me though.  Besides, the mouse just feels/looks pimp too.

First off - hey peeps. I'm in and I'm ready to rock. Yeah, thatt was meant to be sounding as *** as it actually did.. ;)

Secondly: I was in the same seat as you Snip. I was looking into getting a XFX 6600GT agp. That would have rocked, but my cpu decided to crash and burn on me so I had to get a new one which cut into my budget. I ended up getting XFX FX5700LE and even tho it's insanely budget, inn comparison oto what you might want this card IS excellent value and performance. I paid 115 canadian buckaroos for mine and was expecting moderate perfomance.
Now, you hafta keep in mind that I was the elite haxz00r trooper in CoD with my whopping 18-25fps average, so I guess I would be happy with anything, but now I'm getting 100-120fps with most detailing and crap on (1024*768). I'm aware of that I'm not optimized, but I just haven't had the timet o sit down and do anythign. This card is supposed to be reasonably overclockable as well, so my guess is that it still has some hidden juice lurking in the dark.

As for a gaming mouse, tell me wha tyou get and how you like it, because that is my next upgrade.
I dont know how many others you know out there who played this wonderful game the way I blessed it with my 20fps and a seriously worn out ball mouse.. ;)

Ok Morot thx.

Cause you are the only one who really gave input. I ended up waiting on the video card cause I don't want to play anymoney at all. I did however get a Logitech MX510 gaming mouse. It works great:) I am looking to upgrade from a NVIDIA Quadro NVS with AGP8X 64Mb. So I want to spend almost no money with the greatest return of performance. If i didn't care of price i would just get the best. However in this case I don't want to pay 200 bucks. Can i get a good 256mb with good ddr memory for under 200?

My 2 cents (or 1 English penny, what with the economy)...

Never, ever ask for graphics card recommendations on a forum.

Go to the websites of a few respectable computer magazines and see what they choose; they're paid to tell you.

The 'Sparkle GeForce 6600 GT' get consistently good reviews:

http://www.comp-buyer.co.uk/buyer/revie ... 00-gt.html

http://www.pcpro.co.uk/reviews/66235/sp ... 00-gt.html

Yes it only has 128MB of RAM, but apparently the architecture of the card, number of pipelines and how many feral cats you can solder on to the PCB makes a huge difference, or something.

Froogle tells me it can be yours for just $205 - http://store.jazztechnology.net/spspnvge66ag.html . Plus SoundCharger will sleep with you if you get it.

I've just upgraded my mouse to a Logitech Medialife

Wireless, USB, Optical
Works up to 10 feet away from receiver
Controls System volume and has buttons to control media applications.
Batteries last a little over a month with strenuous use

It works great for me since I occaisionally love to play with music blasting my ears off...

If you just want something simple I recommend a basic logitech optical usb mouse :)
