www.pandora.com

Very intuitive. Very user friendly. Excellent idea, implimentation and quality. Type in a song and band you like in the text box you see in the flash player. I use the format " Song - Title" w/o quotes.

To remain legal and follow the license, it cannot play a song by request, but it will play a song by that band for starters. You rate it "thumbs up" or "thumbs down."

Thumbs up - More songs like that played more frequently.

Thumbs down - Song = banned on that particular station + songs like it played less frequently.

2 Thumbs Down - Artist banned* (band - haha) from that station.

Click on "Guide Us," where you can add an extra song to that station.

Adding one specific song to a station adds ~100 songs of that nature.

Adding one artist to that station adds ~5 - 800 songs that fit that style.

License limits - 6 skips per station per hour.

User limits - 100 stations.

Ways to circumvent skips limit - refresh browser. New song will play. Or select "Thumbs Down" and the song stops playing and goes to the next (obviously only if you don't like the song.)

You can rename the station names by the triangle (pull down menu) next to the station name.

Adding a song to a station of a contrasting genre broadens the style of the station.

Website/Pandora does not play Classical (yet) or Worldly music, indicating that classical would be a beast of a genre to tackle.

EACH song is analyzed for musical characteristics, and suggested songs reflect these common characteristics.

Click the arrow over the thumbnail (album cover) to find out why a certain song was played (what it had in common - referring back to aforementioned characteristics.)

Songs (or albums) can be purchased through iTunes or Amazon.

Check the FAQ for more details and information.
