As busy as I have been lately, being home from school in the middle of nowhere with jack to do, I somehow found the time to start playing UO single player.  Frankly, I was dissapointed.  First of all, it's a very short expansion.  Unlike the original you go through each allie (American, British, Russian) individualy instead of alternating through them throughout the whole game.  Next, there is the gameplay.  At first, I enjoyed being the gunner on a bomber and using tanks and blah blah freaking blah.  The novelty wares off very quickly as these levels don't seem to ever end.  I wish they would have made more run around and kill rather than these different game types.  Maybe then it would have seemed a little longer.  I still don't like the vehicles in the game (single and multiplayer).  Another thing is that in this game it seems like your primary objective is to just stay alive rather than actually kill everyone.  I mean in almost every level there are an unlimited amount of germans spawning from somewhere that don't stop until you finish some objective.  In the final level which was uberdifficult I finally found one spot where I couldn't get killed an camped there.  If I hear the word "stuga" anytime in the near future, I'm going to freak.

I was very dissapointed with this game.. There were some parts that I loved but for the most part it pissed me off.  I mean the damn kar didn't even work the same.  It took multiple shots to kill ai.... I mean wtf?  I've never had to fire it so many times at one person and they still be alive.  The realism was a little better; sometimes when you shoot the germans they stay down for a bit and then miraculously get up just when you turn around so they can shoot you.  That got old as well.  Activision succeeded in not remaking the game, but I think they could have done better if they did.

agree with you 90%, the only difference is that i love the vehicles in multiplayer, expecially on fast servers such as HighRollerz :D

nice review overall

i played very little of single player, it didnt seem anything like the first. There were way too many guys spawning and like you said lemm the  guns dont work like they do on MP, I am so used to play MP too that i never really know if i killed a guy right away unless it says 'you killed whomever'.
I give the SP 3/10 it did have decent graphics but the original concept was much more appealing

UO SP was over, even before i really was started, It was too short, and just like Yoyo i everytime waited for "you killed...." to confirm the kill. The vehicles in MP are fun, at least when you got a fast server to play on. Driving on a laggy server is almost impossible (I ran over most of my comrades LOL). My expectation were not met by this release. It is fun to play, but nowhere near the exitement of first time playing COD. Thnk god I pirated it, I would not buy it, and rather save my money for games like HL2.

I do like the maps like berlin, casino, which have plenty of camping places ;-)

Did you check out map tigertown which comes with de COD 1,5 release? It's nice too.

Cya all around on UO (because most of the community has shifted to the LAW server) Not for the game, but for the good company ;-))
